Phuket

The beachfront resort of Phuket is often referred to as the “Pearl of Asia”. The island is known for its pristine beaches, picturesque islands, and tropical forest. Phuket offers many things to do including snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, hiking, shopping, sightseeing, water sports, and much more. There are many beautiful places around the island where you can go relax after exploring the city. You may want to book a room at one of the stunning resorts located on the island before visiting the surrounding attractions. If you visit Phuket over Christmas or New Years then you will find many hotels offering great discounts and deals. Here are some of the best hotel options in Phuket.

Phuket Island

Phuket is situated in southern Thailand and is known for its tropical beaches, white sand, turquoise waters, lush greenery, friendly locals, and stunning nightlife. It’s no wonder why tens of thousands of tourists visit this island each year, but the truth is plenty of people don’t even know about this beautiful paradise. Those who do have been coming here since before the 19th century, and the place still attracts visitors today. It feels like a vacation spot where anything goes, whether you want to enjoy a peaceful walk along a beach, go diving to see gorgeous coral reefs, explore ancient ruins, visit waterfalls, or learn how to windsurf. There is plenty to do on this small island, and if you haven't visited yet then you're definitely missing out!

Lobster

Lobsters may not seem exciting at first but they are actually quite delicious especially when cooked correctly. Lobsters are a crustacean that are members of the arthropod class consisting of insects and their relatives. One of the most popular seafood options in the world, lobster can be prepared in many different ways. From steamed lobsters served in restaurants to oven baked claws at home, lobster is always an option for dinner. Most supermarkets carry fresh lobster meat, or you can find frozen varieties if you live outside of the region. If you love lobster, make sure to bring some back with you from your trip!

Coconut Tree

The coconut palm is native to South East Asia and Australia, but is now cultivated worldwide including the United States, Mexico, Brazil and India. Its fruit is called coconut (or coconuts) and can be consumed raw, dried, boiled, fried, shredded, juiced, or eaten as ice cream. These fruits grow in clusters on long stalks called trees. But did you know that coconut trees can grow in any climate? In fact, they thrive best in warm climates, and will produce either male or female flowers. Female flowers give rise to mature nuts while male flowers only produce pollen, which is necessary for fertilization. So in order to get coconuts, we need to look in the right places.

Rooftop Bars

Rooftop bars are becoming increasingly popular due to the convenience offered by them. There is nothing better than sitting out on a rooftop bar enjoying good company, great drinks, and incredible views. You'll often hear someone say, “Do you mind me asking what you do for work?” As though you would mind sharing something like that on a date. That's exactly why rooftop bars are perfect for meeting people; you’re having fun, chilling out, and enjoying life. Whether you’re looking for love, friendship, or just a great drink, start planning those rooftop bar outings today.

Scuba Diving

Scuba diving is among the most popular sports activities in Phuket. If you've never tried it before, then you probably think scuba diving is expensive. But this sport isn't as pricey as you might expect. Many novice divers end up staying underwater for hours at a time, so it's worth it to spend money on equipment instead of renting a hotel room.

Khao Sok National Park

Khao Sok National Park is located near the city of Surat Thani in Southern Thailand. It's a favorite destination for nature enthusiasts because of its diverse ecosystem and interesting wildlife. The park covers over 1,200 square km of land and includes several water bodies and limestone caves.

Jim Thompson House

Jim Thompson was once a prominent American textile designer who fell in love with Thailand after he began working designing textiles for Siam Home Textile Company in 1947. He became an influential figure in 20th-century Thai art and helped influence Thailand’s economic growth. Today, the Jim Thompson house, also known as Wat Khunaram, remains his final resting place and a place where he spent much of his later years. Now, the house serves as a museum devoted to his works. Opened in December 2014, the exhibition features furniture, fabrics, and objects designed by Thompson between 1948 -- 1960.
